App Management

Summary cards, table columns and Status values, the row menu actions, why Delete app is greyed out, and how apps differ from listings.

App Management is a screen in the Create area that lists every app your organization has built, with each app's production version, subscriber count, publish date, and status. It gives app builders one place to see what the org owns and to manage app versions, instead of piecing that together from the App Catalog, listings, and org settings.

You may also see App Management referred to as the app list, the Create page, or "the list of apps"; publishers often ask about it as "where do I see all our apps?"

Applies to: Insight Cloud, Create area. Internal to Seek and Seek-supported publisher organizations today.

You'll need: The Builder role (or Seek Admin) to open the Create area. Org Admins can view App Management but cannot manage apps from it. If you are a publisher and did not build your apps, do not grant yourself the Builder role to manage them: the app's builder (Seek D&A) owns versions and the production version. Other roles do not see Create in the sidebar.

Where to find App Management

In the left sidebar, click Create. App Management opens directly and shows your organization's apps.

Seek Admins reach any organization's App Management through AdminOrgs → select the organization → CreateApp Management.

What's on the App Management screen

  • Total Apps, Total Subscribers, Apps with Upgrades: summary cards across the top. Apps with Upgrades counts apps that have a newer version than the one marked as production.

  • Search: filters the list by app name as you type.

  • App table: one row per app with App Name, App Subscribers (number of organizations using the app), Production Version, Prod Publish Date, and Status.

  • Status: Up to Date when the production version is the latest, v# available when a newer version exists, or No production version set when the app has no production version yet.

  • Row menu (three dots at the end of each row): Open app details, Set new version as Production, and Delete app.

  • Rows per page and paging controls at the bottom. The list shows 10 apps per page by default.

What you can do with App Management

  • See every app your organization has built, whether or not it has an App Store listing.

  • Search the list by app name.

  • Open an app to inspect its versions in App Version Details.

  • Set a newer version as the production version from the row menu.

  • Delete an app that is not currently installed in a subscriber organization.

How to set a new version as production

  1. Find the app in the table. Its Status shows v# available when a newer version exists.

  2. Click the three-dot menu at the end of the row.

  3. Click Set new version as Production.

  4. Confirm.

You'll know it worked when the row's Production Version shows the new version, Prod Publish Date shows today, and Status changes to Up to Date.

How to delete an app

  1. Click the three-dot menu at the end of the app's row.

  2. Click Delete app.

  3. Confirm in the dialog.

You'll know it worked when the app disappears from the table and Total Apps decreases by one.

If Delete app is greyed out, hover over it. The tooltip says Apps with subscribers can't be deleted. Remove the app from all subscriber organizations first, or leave it in place.

Limits and what App Management can't do

  • App Management does not show which version each subscriber organization is actually running. The Production Version column is the version marked as production for the app; a subscriber org may still be installed on an older version. Managing installed versions per subscriber org is a separate, upcoming capability.

  • App Management does not let you delete an app that has at least one subscriber. Delete app is disabled for those apps.

  • App Management does not let you set a production version when the app is already on its latest version. Set new version as Production is disabled in that case.

  • App Management does not create, build, or publish apps. Apps are built and published with SBT; they appear here once registered.

  • App Management does not edit App Store listings. Listings are managed under Publish.

  • Org Admins can view App Management but cannot set production versions or delete apps. For an Org Admin, the row menu shows only Open app details, and the page subtitle reads "View app versions and subscriber deployments" instead of "Manage".

App Management vs. listings, the App Store, and Org Settings > Apps

An app is the thing a builder creates and publishes with SBT. A listing is the App Store page that markets an app to subscribers. App Management shows apps, including apps with no listing. An app without a listing shows its technical name (for example snack_shop_insights); an app with a listing shows the listing's display name.

Org SettingsApps shows the apps an organization has installed as a subscriber. App Management shows the apps an organization has built as a publisher. An org can appear in both places for the same app.

For listings, see App Publishing Lifecycle. For installing apps, see Installing an App into an Organization.

If App Management isn't working

If you do not see Create in the sidebar, you do not have the Builder role. Ask your organization admin. If Create is present but the list is empty and shows No apps yet, your organization has not registered any apps. If an app you published with SBT is missing, confirm the build completed and that you are viewing the publisher organization, not a subscriber organization. If it is still missing, contact Seek support.
