How to Deploy an Insight (no audio)
Instructions
The first time you access any new Insight, you will need to deploy them against your Snowflake instance and your data tables. This is because Insights can not only run against your Snowflake but also the data you buy via Snowflake Data Marketplace or receive via secure shares.
- Once you click on the new Insight, you will need to provide us with the Account Name of your Snowflake.
- Filling in the Data Source tells us where you store in your Snowflake the required datasets that power the Insight. Depending on the Insight, the number of tables will be different. However, check the Table Name Header for each specific table required.
- With that provided information, Seek will generate the script to do the rest. Now, all you have to do is open Snowflake and run the script on the screen by clicking the COPY button and pasting the script into your Snowflake Account. Please note, you need to paste and run this in the same Snowflake Account you specified in Step 1.
4. Below you will see what it looks like to then run this in Snowflake. Please note to also check the 'All Queries' box before clicking 'Run'.
5. After running the script in your Snowflake Account, you can now head back to Insight Cloud and confirm it ran successfully.
6. Insight Cloud will now go and confirm everything was configured correctly - that we can connect to your Snowflake, that the tables required to run this Insight exist, and that we can connect to the data within them to generate the Insight metrics layer. Now, you can click 'Show me my Insight' to hop into the Insight and drive action for your business.
